Take time for the little things!

Today was a fun change of pace for me. I took time away from the much needed house work, let me say once again, MUCH NEEDED, and my never ending pile of homework and went to my daughter's Field Day at pre-school. It was a blast! I have to say that at first I wasn't too thrilled about it because I had Heath in tow and he is quite the high energy kid when we are in the great outdoors, but he was actually really good! Of course it did help that the AMAZING Mrs. C, Bria's teacher, helped and let him have turns on all the cool blow up rides! Needless to say he was in heaven aaand in love with her! He listened to her much more than me. What? Me jealous!?! Never!

This field day marks the soon to be end of her pre-school days! She has grown into quite the young lady and I am going to miss her firey, funny, sweet personality during the day time. Heath is going to get sooo bored without her! She loved her time having fun and she was excited to spend most of the day with one of her best buds, B. He goes on M, W, and F, but came today for the fun! She also was able to see her beloved cousin, L and his Family too! Too bad daddy couldn't be there, that blasted career stuff can get in the way of fun sometimes! :)

I had fun taking pics, and chatting, but boy was it HOT! Where is spring!?! I swear I am going to have to take a shower again with all my perspiring! Now that I am home I have the air conditioning on and my fans on! And noooooo I am not Preggers or having hot flashes!!!! It really is that HOT! ;) Of course it might help if I had shorts and short sleeve shirt on, but I didn't want to blind anyone one with my sun deprived leggies!

Well enjoy the pics, especially our missed daddio! We love you and wish you could've sweat...er I mean slightly melted and had fun with us! I am glad that I let some things go in order to have fun and take some time for a moment I can never regain! One day I will look back and not remember the laundry, dusting and vacuuming that was needed, but will remember the smiles and time to laugh with my children!

One more thing before I wrap this up! We were able to see some geese and their gosling's before we ended and I have to say I need to unravel their parenting secrets because my kids couldn't stand in a line like that. They'd be too busy arguing over who's turn it was to be first, and I am sure many more things!

cute post! So true!! They grow up so fast and when you look back you won't wish you had kept up with the laundry. Days like today will make you most happy!

It's amazing how much happier our kids are when we take time to really focus on them. Forget about the housework and other chores and just look at them and play with them. It's a hard thing for us moms to do, but so important.

Even if it was hot, your shirt is so cute! Thank you for the fun pictures!
