7 Years--Never Forget

I remember the morning with better detail than most of my big memories! I was getting my 2 children, Chad and his sister Alyssa, ready for the day and letting them play before we were to go to the doctor for Alyssa's 8 month check up.

The sun was shining and the sky was beautiful. My kids were laughing and I felt really happy and excited to be alive, then I received a phone call from my husband telling me to turn on the TV because he couldn't put it into words. I did as he said and was shocked with what I saw. I couldn't speak or move trying to listen to the commentary as the first building burned. My husband and I let each other go and then there it was, the second airplane ramming into the side of the other building. That's where I lost it and only listened a few minutes more because my 2 year old was freaking out about the airplane and mommy bawling!

It was a few weeks before my son stopped freaking out every time an airplane came over head screaming that it was going to hit us. We will always remember this day and will always feel for the families of the victims of these two towers as well as the men and women who bravely fight for our freedoms!

So, to all of you out there whatever your political stance, let's all be united in our Freedom and Love for our fellow man! Wave your Flag high and be proud of your country. Like Mark Twain said,"Patriotism is supporting your country all of the time and your government when they deserve it."
