Sick of Being Sick

I wish I were 5 months along because I'd be done with being sick and could start getting my To-Do list done, but then I'd wish I were 3 months along because I'd want more time to get things done! Oh, the irony! The sands of time are against me! :) lol

I've been taking my B6 and Unisom, but it's not working! Today I actually felt better through the morning, but now I feel awful! I think I am going to have to get something more from the Doc! I hate taking anything while I am pregnant because I want to make things as risk free for my baby. Any ideas of other things to use before I go the medication route?

I would reccomend ginger (Altoids makes ginger mints, Ginger Ale, even gingersnaps. Some eat crystalized ginger, or drink ginger tea.), or Peppermint. Anything made with peppermint oil, not extract. Starlight mints are made from oil most of the time. Peppermint tea, if you like tea. Buttermints. I have other stuff in my homeopathy guide if you want, but those are the simplest.

Hey Sharon. I check your blog from a link on Dana's blog (Hope you don't mind). When I was pregnant, I used Sea-Bands. They are like wristbands that use acupressure. They actually work strangely enough. I found mine at CVS Pharmacy. Good luck!

For me it was grapefruit juice. Call me crazy, but it worked.

If you do go the meds route, make sure they give you zofran, it's the safest for the baby:)

Sorry I'm no help at all with this topic. Melissa may be the best candidate to consult on this one. But please drop Heath off to play! If you're going to be sick, at least you don't have to worry about entertaining a preschooler too.

Umm...I get really, really, really, sick, so I always have to do zofran. But I can tell you all the things that didn't work for me:) saltines, bland foods, B6, ginger, preggie pops, mints, pickle juice (I really wanted that one to work) sea bands, meditation, jello, sunlight, prenatals at night, prenatals at morning, not cooking anything with any smell whatsoever, dramamine, phenegrine. Eventually I couldn't even keep water down, and once I had to start getting IV's to keep from fainting form dehydration, they prescribed zofran.

I'm so not looking forward to getting pregnant again! gah!
