Lazy Winter Days

Why can't everyday be like these?
We had fun playing trains, airplanes and bowling after school on Friday and stamping or in Chad's case, drawing a couple weeks ago! These are the times I look forward to. We have been trying to spend more time together. We challenged the kids to find ways to spend time together that doesn't cost any money and we had them write their ideas down on slips of paper and have put them in a bag that we draw from periodically when we can't think of anything we want to do...or when the infamous and most annoying words, "I'M BORED" are uttered!

We had fun with our new bowling set! We had to be creative in making a nice steady and flat surface because they all wanted to play in the boys room!

Everyone had a train or airplane to play with so there was NO fighting!!! YAY!

Chad refused to stamp, but at least he still joined us and drew bombs, missiles and other military artillery (hey whatever floats your boat)! :)

What are some things you like to do with your family that either costs very little to nothing?

I love that Chad wouldn't stamp. So funny. I think I may still this idea. It's a good one!

Bowling on the Dora book cracks me up! As far as our family...we play board games, or pull out Harry Potter movies. As long as we have popcorn with butter and some sort of chocolate, we're all happy.

We turn on music and dance. I don't know about you, but I could use a nice dose of spring about now. Everyone's always bored!

The fact that Chad refused to stamp just cracks me up. However, i'm glad he found some way to join the family in his own fun way. (i'm sure those must have been the best bombs and military goods ever to be seen. :])
