Remembering good times!

I was looking through my pics and found these from my husbands' family reunions last summer! And they say a picture can mean a thousand words...i think they mean a thousand laughs :)! I was glad that we were able to go because both his mom and dad's sides had a reunion back to back and it was lots of fun! I will have to post more pics and videos throughout the next week because I made sure to take a lot--I love to have memories on paper :) Tyson's grandma had a store of candy, chips, soda, and many more things that the kids could buy with their tickets and my kids were very picky with what they spent and got for their moneys worth! Wish they were like that all the time :) She celebrated all of the holidays and made us all ache with laughter and she made sure to hand out her $2 bills that are her and Grandpa's trademark. They send them in cards for birthdays! They are really good at remembering holidays and birthdays--I am trying to get better :) We sang a lot, talked a lot and ate alot! We were all givin' cleaning and cooking assignments so that the load was shared! It's kind of interesting to see other people's families and how they do things together. My family isn't as loud as the Horrocks family and don't have things as scheduled and structured for their Reunions. It's just interesting to see such diversity-- I know that a lot of people go to other countries to see diversity and I think that sometimes America isn't appreciated enough for it's own flavor(don't get me wrong, I would love to see another country, but I think the US has a lot more to it then is given credit--though I think Buster's, from the show Arthur, travels are starting to do that :)). It's moments like these Reunions that helps you to realize where your focus truely should be and it's wonderful to know that there is at least somewhere you fit into the world! Granted I did feel a bit out of place in the huge Horrocks family seeing as I don't really ever see them and I really miss my own family a lot, but they were good to me and I left with a lot of fun memories and new friendships :)

Isn't it wonderful to be married into a great family with a great heritage?

Grandma Horrocks is a riot! I can just hear your kids' big belly laughs by looking at their cute little faces.
