Hitting those curve balls one at a time!

This morning Heath and I took Tys to work because good ol' Bessie (our van) is in the repair shop. She has been a pretty good van to us because we have only had to take her to the shop a handful of times in the past 8 years, but of course each one costs a LOT of$$$ (let's just "kiss our savings good-bye" a lot)!!! But hey, who's complaining!?! I mean did I really need that European Armoire I have been coveting for 2 years now? new flooring because the dog and kids have scratched and stained the already existing ones? to repair several things that weren't done right when the house was built or have been damaged over the years of living here? or a nice fun European vacation for my 11th anniversary? ha ha ha! :)

Why is it once you start really establishing your savings, something happens to deplete it? Oi! Oh well, life goes on and I really am blessed, it could be worse! There's always something happening, good or bad! When life throws you a curve ball you either move outta the way or hit it!

After dropping dear hubby off we went to Wally World for a 45 minute stint and to my amazement, Heath was great and my morning sickness didn't bother me! Different story now, but I enjoyed the freedom from feeling yucky while it lasted! As if it couldn't get any better, the weather is GORGEOUS!!! I know, I know I am easily pleased lately, but hey I'll take it!

O no Sharon not the armoire. Why is it just not meant to be? I am so sorry. I hope you can still get your house painted. I talked to
Clark and the bench is a go!!

This is the second post I have read in 5 minutes that has made me feel better. I am not enjoying the fact that your van is broken. It is just comforting to know absolutely positively that I am not the only one having problems lately. The savings, I hear ya!! Doesn't that just bite?! We just spent all our time (and money) doing things to the other house that I would LOVE to do in my own. Is that gonna happen soon? Probably not.

Glad to hear the morning sickness is wearing down.

Gosh, isn't that true about savings? Total bummer to spend it on something so unfun as a car. Glad you had a good few minutes this morning, though, and just keep telling yourself there is an end in sight...

Savings? What's that? I think I drained my savings in the last month just filling up with gas :(

I hate that. It is so hard to establish a good amount of savings and you're right once you feel like you have it under control WHAM! Oh well, like you said...it could be 100 times worse!

Glad to hear that you felt good and had a nice trip to Wal Mart!

Pleasant Walmart trips are very rare so I'm glad you experienced one. And the weather is gorgeous--I want to stay outside all day!
