Caught Red Handed

Do you see it? The little white speck on the top of his nose? We knew some of our powder doughnuts were missing after we came downstairs to find a bag of doughnuts opened on top of the table and some lying on the table still!!! I was upstairs helping a few of the kids get their chores done so we could all have breakfast when I found this!!! But wait....
What was that!?! I saw a flash of something ELSE covered in powder too!!!

Why does it NOT surprise me? :) Come to find out after a LONG time of trying to explain "lies" and "telling stories" to a 3 year old which ended up in him saying "Stories? I like stories mom!" Needless to say we found him COVERED in doughnuts, and he finally confessed that he had really done it and Misha was just an innocent bystander who was at the wrong place at the wrong time! Poor, poor pitiful dog, who is always blamed when food is involved! ;) of course it doesn't help that he has a bad habit of trying to lick the table clean after our dinners (yes, his head hits well above our table and I sanitize all the time as well as get on to the dog...now it's a lick and run)! Heath is such the mastermind (don't let that sweet, cute, wanna squish him kind of face fool ya)!

I think his motto is: "When all else fails, blame the dog"! Cause he just sat back and watched us scold Misha and even said "Misha not leave food alone, bad Misha!" ha-ha!! Poor little dog! He didn't even get to taste the goods of said crime. He only got dirty (or framed...you choose which) in the process. It'll teach him to lay under the table when alone while Heath is eating! :) Good thing I took a second look at little man...just wish it was before the scolding part!!!

I only wish that I had a picture of it. It was quite humorous. I didn't know you could get powdered doughnut up your nose and even in your ears when eating...obviously a very dangerous and messy business (for dogs in any case)!

I love to read the adventures of the Horrock's household! : ) Life would be awfully boring without such adorable children to spice it up!

Heath just makes me laugh. I remember a couple of years ago we were over for a party and you and Tyson were busy and didn't hear Heath ask for chips. He kept asking until finally he pulled a chair over and got the chips himself. I think many youngest children just do things on their own (like grab the donuts) because they know they won't get them otherwise!
