Miss Ballerina Gets her Pics and Laney-bug Finds a Flower

Just when I think they couldn't get any cuter...we have ballet pics in full costume!

I love putting what we call "pretties" in my girls hair, but with Laney they don't stay in for long!

Here she is trying to figure out exactly where it is on her head so that she can rip it out!

Would you believe me if I told you that I live with this child everyday and STILL can't get enough of her kissable cheeks! So smooshable and C-A-UTE!

After a few minutes she finally won! At least I was able to get a few cute shots of her with her "pretties" in! :)

I have been saving since last August for a new camera (been wanting to upgrade and my point and shoot has been having a few problems) and through all those months I felt like I had the curse of King Tantalus (if you don't know who he is you can google it). Every time I got close to having the right amount of money for my camera, the van would go out or some other financially draining thing would happen and the camera would be further from my finger tips. So, I just continued trying to save and finally, I found a refurbished model and was able to get it as well as another lens! Needless to say I am really excited and have NOT wanted to put my camera down since, but obviously with 5 kids I have had to make myself! :) I have debated on whether or not to take it with me on our trip to Brazil and am excited to say that I have indeed decided to take it with me! Now I just have to figure a few more things out about manual shooting and then I will be good to go! We leave in 5 more days!
