My husband and I woke up in the wee hours of the morning to witness the fresh snow before a single soul stepped foot on it. It was beautiful!
Last night when it started snowing it was lightening too, then thunder. That was a little strange, but interesting. Not something I would have ever thought went together with snow, but life has a funny way of showing you that nothing is impossible. We ended up having 8-10 inches of snow. 10 inches mostly in the drifts, like around my planter in the top picture.

Since we hardly ever see a speck of snow here in Bama, we don't have the proper winter gear so we Southerners improvise. Goulashes, double layers of clothes, mittens, hats and scarves are all wrapped and tucked into clothing to keep the cold out.
When I was a kid in Texas, we even put ziploc bags over our feet to keep the wetness from soaking in.
Misha was a little jealous that the snow was getting more attention then him. He has issues.
It got pretty deep out there.
Misha didn't like the snow between his toes. He mostly stayed close to the house.
The prettiest little snow angel!
Happy SNoW dAy!

Awww. I love that last shot! It looks like you guys took full advantage of the snow. Who knows when we'll get this much again. I heard it might be another 20 years. =)
What sweet pictures! By the way, I've been told that what happened last night is called "thundersnow". It's real, you can look it up. : )
She sure is an adorable snow angel. Love all your snow pics.
