Tyson loves all things Russia. He reads most things in Russian, listens to their radio stations online, thinks in Russian (can be annoying when you ask a question and he answers in Russian) and is teaching us Russian. I guess I could have just said he eats, sleeps and breathes...Russian! :) It is where Chad would like to serve a mission for our church and all the kids would like to live (I am the hard sell). So, it shouldn't really surprise me that Heath did the following.
The other dayhe asked me if he could say the prayer for the food, in Russian, for our lunch and I said "Ok" thinking that he would say it like he normally does and mention something about Russia. Then he proceeded in gibberish and I, being caught a little off guard, didn't know if I should correct him or just let him be, so I chose the latter. After he was done it took me a little while to realize that he had already said "Amen". When he was done he had a smile from ear to ear. It made me smile. He was like his daddy! I was not about to burst that bubble of pride and satisfaction.
Tyson also loves to rock climb.
A few weeks earlier I had traveled somewhere with a friend and we passed some rocky cliff sides and he said "Look mommy! Rock climbing!"
"Yep, Tyson would be proud" I thought with a pleasant smile on my face!
I am grateful that my kids have a great dad who they want to be like when they grow up and for kids that make me smile!

So sweet! I'll have to ask Heath to tell me something in Russian.
aww how fun. He is a great Daddy and such a great example. What a joy that Heath wants to be like him.
That is cute!
I also enjoyed your post below...
For the readers, it may be a little of an exaggeration to say that I "eat, sleep and breathe Russian," but I do all the rest.
Thanks, Sharon, for the post. It's nice to know someone's thinking of daddy.
I can never get enough of Heath stories! Stick to your guns about not moving to Russia! (Sorry Tyson.)
Heath is so cute! hannah and sam also gibberish-speak in Spanish, like daddy.
Very cute!
