We survived our first day of school!
I did clean, but I also indulged in some "Merlin" watching. Ahhh, it was nice to have some peace and quiet! :) Every year that school starts up I like to think of something clever to write about their first day back in school, but ever since the one I did when Bria went to Kindergarten, I just don't feel that same push to be so creative. I just don't think that I can beat it. It totally sums up our first day of school. You can find it here.
Heath didn't get a time out! YAY! it is a new record because he got timeouts left and right in preschool and both years he attended he had at least one on the first day. We have been pretty worried with how Mr. Energy would do, but so far so good. Let's hope this keeps getting better from here. He was so hungry that he ate 4 big helpings of dinner tonight and as soon as he hit his pillow he was out!
The rest of the kids were happy and are looking forward to tomorrow!
The only real glitch we had today was that Miss 15 mo. old, Laney, decided to nose dive out of her crib. She started talking, I finished up what I was doing so I could go get her and then...
THUD!!! it was HUGE! I still feel a little queasy thinking about it. Obviously I wasn't moving fast enough for her so she decided to take things into her own hands. My heart fell to the floor and I ran to her flinging the door open only to find her walking to me with a slight smile as she fussed a little. She looked a little dazed, but after doing a thorough once over from her pretty little red, slightly scratched head to her adorable chubby toes, I was satisfied that she was fine.
